Doesn’t the city already sweep streets in an HOA?
It may. If your community streets are public, municipal street sweeping may already be available. However, the frequency, timing and areas covered vary by municipality.
Private streets maintained by an HOA may not be included in city sweeping services. HOA boards and property managers should confirm who is responsible for maintaining the community’s streets before scheduling private service.
When would an HOA hire a private street-sweeping company?
An HOA may hire a professional sweeping company when it maintains private streets or needs additional cleaning beyond what the municipality provides.

Can an HOA hire ProSweep if the city already sweeps the streets?
In some cases, yes. An HOA may want supplemental sweeping when the municipal schedule does not line up with heavy leaf accumulation, spring sand and salt cleanup, community events or other property-specific needs.
For public streets, the HOA should confirm with the municipality whether private sweeping is permitted and whether any special arrangements are required.
Do we need a contract for HOA fall cleanup?
